Who we are...
We'll start with the easy question first. missio Dei is the college ministry of Christ Community Church in Ruston, Louisiana. We believe it is important for college students to be involved in the ministry of a church while they are still in college. At Christ Community we provide that opportunity. missio Dei hosts many on and off-campus events throughout the year, and Christ Community Church has a huge variety of venues where collegiates can get involved. There are opportunities with drama, worship, event set-up, shopping (mostly just grocery shopping...), cleaning, running power point, watching kids, working with youth, and many more. Given our proximity to the university campuses of Louisiana Tech, Grambling State, and ULM—approximately 28,000 college students within a thirty mile radius—we recognize this truth: God has sovereignly placed us right in the middle of a vast and fertile mission field!What we do...
DNA Groups - As DNA is the building block of himan life, discipleship and accountability are the foundations of the Christian life. These weekly small groups meet in CCC people's homes and in dorms in order to give students an opportunity to experience community, authenticity, and grace. For more information check out our small group page.Quarterly retreats - We get away almost every quarter for a time of rest and relaxation. As we escape from the hectic pace of collegiate life, we seek to help students get to know each other in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Whether it is a conference or simply a guys canoe trip, you are guaranteed to have a great time.
