Christ Community Church is a local body of believers in Jesus Christ who hold to the fundamental
beliefs of the historic, orthodox, evangelical faith (go to
the Beliefs page for further details).
Our members and attendees come from a wide variety of church backgrounds (including some with no religious heritage at
all). As we are not affiliated with a national denomination, we are often identified as a "Bible Church," meaning we
seek to make the Holy Scripture (rather than human reason or ecclesiastical tradition) the sole rule of our
faith and practice.
"Community" is not just part of our name, it's at the heart of all we try to do. As much as possible we want CCC
to be marked by the kind of genuine community that marked the first-century church.
What exactly is community? It's a sharing of life as well as a partnership in God's grand plan for the world.
It's true fellowship-not merely chatting over coffee, but deep caring for and encouraging one another in the faith.
Building this kind of community is the goal of our
adult Community Groups. These regular gatherings
(6-15 folks meeting in homes weekly or bi-weekly) are the lifeblood of our congregation. They are the setting where
meaningful relationships are established, where biblical truth is applied to life, where struggles are shared and prayed
for. It's at this community (i.e. small group) level where you'll find a real sense of belonging at Christ Community Church.
Up-to-date Community Group information (times, places, leaders, topics, etc.) is available at the CCC Information
Center and in the church office (318-251-1951).
